Welcome to the 84th Annual Convention
Dear colleagues,
It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the 84th annual swiss orthopaedics congress, which will be held for the first time from June 26 to 28, 2024 at the STCC in Lausanne/Ecublens.
With “Robotics” as the orthopedic focus and “Chronic joint instability” as the traumatological focus, we’ll be able to update and deepen our knowledge for our day-to-day work.
The committee has decided to establish a formal thematic structure for the ICL along the lines of “Must Knows in Orthopaedics”, and to do so on an ongoing basis for future congresses. Exciting lectures with an emphasis on interactivity and discussion are guaranteed, and have already been a highlight of the first day of the St. Gallen congress.
Special sessions have also become established, and must find their place in the tight program, alongside the main themes and free papers. So, for the first time, the convention will take place over three full days, starting on Wednesday morning.
For our specialist society, the Annual General Meeting on Thursday evening is the most important event from the point of view of association law, and I look forward to your active participation.
Abstract submission and registration are now open. We look forward to many contributions from the various fields of orthopedics and traumatology.
I look forward to seeing you in Lausanne!
